Additional Information

Description

A custom-sized leather collar for your best friend.

Adding a little luxury to your best friend with their very own custom sized leather collar. There is a roller buckle for easy feed and a D ring to hook the leash to. Everything is hand-stitched for strength and the leather is the same as used for equestrian, meaning it is expected to get wet on occasion.

The sample above was comprised of the medium brown traditional harness leather, with black thread and gun metal coloured hardware.

This item takes approximately 2 hours to build.

  • Vegetable tanned strap in English Bridle (more matte) or Traditional Harness (slightly glossier finish) – LEATHER
  • THREAD
  • Buckle and D ring are solid brass, available in the following colours: antique brass, natural brass, nickel matte, nickel plate and black (other buckles can be accommodated if you have a preference or your own buckle that you wish to use, there may be a nominal charge based on the buckle – please leave a comment on the order form)

The collar is custom-sized to your requested size, with two additional holes 2.5 cm either side of the centre to allow for body size changes over time. The width of the collar is 2.5 cm and the thickness is approximately 0.4 cm. Narrower and thinner collars can also be made, please leave remarks in the order form for consultation.

How to size: Take an existing collar you own and measure from the inside edge of the buckle where the tongue rests to the hole that is most commonly used. If you don’t have an existing collar, then put a tape measure around where the collar will go as tightly as you would like the collar and measure.

The leather is traditionally tanned to accommodate some moisture, so usually wiping with a dry, clean cloth will be sufficient. Additional care and storage details can be found HERE
