Description
A traditional styled hand-stitched belt with a modern stainless steel buckle.
Additional information
A robust leather belt crafted in a traditional style custom fit to your size. The strap is folded over, with a leather keeper stitched with a single piece of thread into place for strength. The edges are waxed for water repellency and for easily gliding through the keeper.
A stainless steel buckle is provided that will not chip over time and retains a high polishing adding to the sophisticated look. Other buckles can be accommodated, including a buckle that you may already own.
There is the choice of three different belt ends, depending on your preference: an English Point, a Round End, or a Tapered Square End, found HERE.
The holes are oval to allow the tongue to sit a little flatter, but round holes are also available on request and at no additional charge. Please just leave a comment in the order notes.
The belt can also be made narrower and thinner on request, as well as the keeper can be moved to accommodate the spacing between belt loops. Just leave comments in the order form.
The sample above is black traditional harness leather, black thread, with an English Point end.
This item takes approximately 3 hours to build.
- Vegetable tanned strap in English Bridle (more matte) or Traditional Harness (slightly glossier finish) – LEATHER
- THREAD
- Stainless steel buckle (other buckles can be accommodated if you have a preference or your own buckle that you wish to use, there may be a nominal charge based on the buckle – please leave a comment on the order form)
The belt is custom-sized to your requested size, with two additional holes 2.5 cm either side of the centre to allow for body size changes over time. The width of the belt is 3.8 cm and the thickness is approximately 0.4 cm. Narrower and thinner belts can also be made, please leave remarks in the order form for consultation.
How to size: Take an existing belt you own and measure from the inside edge of the buckle where the tongue rests to the hole that is most commonly used. If you don’t have an existing belt, then put on the style of pants that you will wear most commonly with the belt and measure around the waist through the belt loops.
The leather is traditionally tanned to accommodate some moisture, so usually wiping with a dry, clean cloth will be sufficient. Additional care and storage details can be found HERE
